Job purpose

The Digital Marketing Apprentice will be an extremely creative and confident individual who can articulate digital marketing ideas. The role will help support the delivery of effective communications and digital marketing activities for Let’s Get Social and its clients. You will assist with developing digital marketing campaigns, writing, designing, and sending regular email campaigns and newsletters, working on social media and websites, and writing engaging content for all platforms including, online, offline and print.

The role will also provide administrative support services to the Director which may include telephone support, organising diaries, managing correspondence, and ensuring project management and social media scheduling platforms are kept up to date.

Main responsibilities

  • Supporting the team in creating and delivering engaging communications activity and marketing projects across all channels
  • Presenting creative marketing and content ideas during team and client meetings
  • Assisting in creating engaging content for Let’s Get Social and all client’s digital channels including their social media accounts, website and other relevant platforms.
  • Supporting with marketing activities such as Search Engine Optimisation
  • Measuring and evaluating the success of marketing activities and sending monthly reports to clients
  • Updating Let’s Get Social and client’s websites using various platforms
  • Ensuring that all colleagues are kept fully informed of all ongoing activities using our internal project management system
  • Reporting on the effectiveness of all campaigns using relevant monitoring tools and analytics and use insight improving relevant campaigns and the channels used
  • Dealing with client enquiries in a friendly and professional manner ensuring a high level of customer service is delivered. Both on the phone and in person
  • Work co-operatively with colleagues to ensure that the team operates consistently and effectively by providing general administrative support
  • Creating and editing of engaging designs and video content that can be used across variety of platforms
  • Confident in building good relationships with colleagues and clients


  • Creative with a desire to pursue a career in digital marketing
  • Grade A* – C GCSEs in English and Maths (or Level 2 Functional Skills)
  • Some experience of Adobe design software packages and/or Canva
  • Excellent grammatical skills and attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Hard working with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Polite, articulate, and confident working directly with clients
  • Good timekeeping and punctuality


  • A keen curiosity and interest in user experience, digital innovation, and analytical data
  • Some knowledge of paid search and general marketing objectives
  • A passion for design and social media
  • Some knowledge of web content management systems (such as WordPress) alongside email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp).
  • Some experience of Google products such as Analytics, Ads, and Tag Manager would be beneficial
