New DurhamWorks Courses Coming Soon!

DurhamWorks will be running the following training courses throughout County Durham soon.

The courses are ran by specialist training organisations, offer an opportunity to get life experience, learn life skills and make new friends.

It works 4 U (Groundwork NE)

The “It works 4 U” course offers you up to 6 months support focussing on removing barriers to work, enhancing your skills and qualifications to help you toward education, employment, or training. This course will run in venues in north and east Durham.

E-Nature (Groundwork NE)

The six-week E-nature course aims to: Improve your health and well-being, increase your confidence, and make you feel ready for work. The course will also make you more aware of green issues and help you to link with your local community and local green spaces. The course activities will take place both online and in community green spaces.

Supported Mentorship (Cornforth Partnership)

This course offers you up to 6 months support focussing on removing barriers to work, enhancing your skills and qualifications to help you toward education, employment, or training. This course will run in venues in south Durham.

Go Lead (Cornforth Partnership)

“Go Lead” runs for 6 weeks and includes topics such as Safeguarding awareness and Emergency First Aid at Work. It also gives you the opportunity to help with the ‘Fun and Food’ programme which delivers community activities for children over the summer.

 Springboard

This is twelve-week programme is for young people who are not in education, employment or training and have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) challenges, high/complex needs or diagnosed and undiagnosed autism. The course focuses on life skills, confidence, teamwork and moving towards education, employment, or training.
