There are many different avenues that you can take in order to find work. Some will be more effective than others, this will depend on the role that you are searching for and the skills required.
Finding the best job for you will often rely on seeking alternative means to find these jobs. Not every job that appeals to you will be featured on a job listing site. You might find that visiting places in person proves to be more successful in landing you an interview.
Job vacancies can be found in print as well as online. Magazines and newspapers are a great way of finding local jobs in your area, whereas online will look further, across multiple cities in some cases depending on the line of work.
Recruitment agencies are another great way of finding the right job. Agencies work as the middle-man between the individual and the companies/organisations that might want to bring them onboard. Keep in mind that these agencies look mostly for people over the age of 18 with experience in their chosen field.
Many vacancies are never advertised! One of the most effective ways of finding out about these jobs is by approaching people you know and asking them if they know of anywhere that’s hiring. It could be from your friends, relatives or neighbours that you may hear of opportunities. Let them know you are looking for a job, what you are looking for and ask them to keep a look out for you!
There are loads of different job search websites and simply searching for 'jobs' will give you a list of sites that you can look through.
