With current staff shortages and a tougher financial climate, DurhamWorks appreciate these are challenging times for any business. To help, we can assist you in accessing a grant worth up to £5,000 to help towards the cost of employing a young person.
Small and medium-sized enterprises* in Durham are eligible for a DurhamWorks grant worth up to £5,000 for six months to support up to 75% of a young person’s salary costs.
Employing a young person has many potential benefits for your business. As well as providing a cost-effective way to address any future skill needs that you may have, a young person will also introduce fresh ideas and enthusiasm to your existing workforce. DurhamWorks will even identify participants who we feel would be a good ‘fit’ for you and your business.
Many small and medium-sized enterprises have previously taken up the offer and have received support to help them to find the right young person for their business.
If you have benefitted from the DurhamWorks Grant before, why not do so again? To further help you, we have increased the size of the grant available.
We are currently working with a wide range of young people who we will match to your vacancy!
As an employer you must contribute a minimum of £500 towards the salary of the young person.
If you would like further information, please contact DurhamWorks at dwgrant@durham.gov.uk or visit our website: www.durhamworks.info/employers
We look forward to hearing from you.
