Global Pandemic didn't stop Jordan securing employment

Jordan Johnson joined DurhamWorks at the age of 17 with the intention of finding a job that he enjoyed.

He had already completed some successful work experience and had a level of interview experience but felt that he needed additional support and guidance to secure employment, this included finding vacancies and developing his application and interview technique.

After receiving bespoke one to one support from a progression worker and completing the Foundation of Light Study Programme he gained a qualification and secured full time employment at the ResQ Call Centre.

Jordan said, “I’ll be taking away a job and experience which I have learnt from Chris and it’s hopefully helped with me future. “Working with Durham Works has opened loads of opportunities up and pointed loads of things out, especially on me CV.”

Christopher Cooke, Jordan’s Progression Worker said, “During a time when the whole world is suffering from a global pandemic, Jordan has not let this deter him and has displayed focus and motivation in order to achieve his goals – his efforts have been admirable.”
