Who is Border Force?

Border Force is a law enforcement organisation with primary responsibility for Immigration and Customs matters at the border. By working for Border Force you can positively affect some of the challenges currently facing the UK. You will play a vital part in maintaining the security and integrity of the UK border, whilst at the same time facilitating the legitimate movement of individuals and trade across the border.

They are looking for someone to join their Border Force team - a flexible, multi-skilled workforce to support a wide range of duties in different locations. You will be engaged in a variety of exciting and flexible roles – from checking all passengers arriving by air for immigration control purposes to the detection and interception of prohibited goods, to ensure they meet their strategic aim to secure the UK’s border and promote national prosperity.

The main duties include:

  • Working at the border and making decisions on the movement of passengers and goods;
  • Progressing Border Crime investigations including conducting interviews and attending court;
  • You could also be involved in helping to counter threats such as terrorism and human trafficking;

Salary: £26,866 - £30,896 

In addition to this, there is an excellent benefits package, annual leave and pension.

National: minimum of £15,000

If the role involves shifts then you would receive shift allowances on top of your salary. In addition, there is an excellent benefits package including annual leave and pension.
