DD Centrepoint - Construction - Bishop Auckland
Location: DurhamWorks Hub, Market Place, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 7NX
Qualification: Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Construction Environment/Level 1 Award in Employability Skills

A 4 week programme providing essential transferrable skills for employment, Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Construction Environment, CITB Health Safety and Environment test and meaningful work experience on a local construction site with a national employer. All tests and licences (CSCS Card) will be paid for. You will also have an interview with Kier at the end of the programme and a reference.


The programme has been developed with a national employer to focus on the employability skills they look for when recruiting young people for Apprenticeships or employment.


You will work on the following skills and will receive a certificate for each of these:

* Being Managed by Others

* Interview Skills

* Managing Your Time

* Communication

* Understanding Mindset

* Measurement and Area

* Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Construction Environment - qualification needed to sit the CSCS Test


All of this will be followed by a week's work experience on a local Kier site, travel and PPE will be paid for.
